May 26, 1968 E. FORD BRAUN • 539 MELROSE AVENUE • KENILWORTH, ILLINOIS Dear Uncle Jack: This is just a line to let you know how thrilled we all are about your winning the Pulitzer Ptize for your Editorials. It surely is a great honor for you and in my opinion one you have worked hard and long to earn. My congratulations seem minuscule comparatively, but they are sent with sincere thought. As for the Herald and the Free Press awards, surely the credit again reflects your years of effort and direction. When the children and I read the article in the Herald, it was unanimous: "why can't we see more of him?" The girls then reflected back to our visit with you in Akron: The Soap Box Derby day, the bunnies at the dinner table, swimming with you in the pool, how nice Eugene was to them and the good food. They also agreed on "how one man could have done so much!" Again, our warmest congratulations and a heart full of love to you and Aunt Beryl.
