Mr. John S, Knight -2- June 7, 1938 as Cities Service and I think we will be able to identify the Tennessee coppers in time for our 9:00 o'clock edition. Edgar Hoover continues his no comment policy which he amplified slightly today by saying that he would not make any announcements of any kind until the case was broken. It has been very tough sledding trying to get anything out of those G-men and every reporter on the staff is anxious to write an editorial giving them hell--a feeling with which I am heartily in sympathy, but which, of course, we cannot afford to express publicly. With regards, I am Sincerely yours. EH:kb Enclosures
