Louis E.Woufson Post Office Box 4 Jacksonville, Florida 32201 July 19, 1966 Mr. John S. Knight c/o The Miami Herald 200 South Miami Avenue Miami 30, Florida Dear John: At the outset, let me say something I have intended to mention every time I have commented on your "Publisher's Notebook"; that is that I do not want you to feel that you should acknowledge my letters in this regard. That is not necessary at all. I have been at the farm in Ocala for a few weeks but have made arrangements to get the Herald particularly so that I do not miss any of your articles. The Sunday, July 17, "Notebook" item, " 'Power' Militants Blacken A Hot Summer", is one on which you certainly deserve to be complimented. I have taken the opportunity to share this with a number of people. I have always had the highest regard for Messrs. "Whitney Young, Jr. , and Roy Wilkins; but these are the only two who have ever convinced me of the sincerity of their efforts in behalf of not only their own people but our nation as well. Warmest regards to both you and the Mrs. Sincerely, Louis E. Wolfson LEW:mr
