The meetings are being held in Goodyear Hall. Ohio River Cruise Arrangements Set By Boating Group Final arrangements for the proposed Ohio River Cruise by members of the Goodyear Boat-ing and Yachting Association have been completed. Cruise Master Clarence Wil-son announced this week that persons planning to participate in the East Liverpool to Pitts-burgh jaunt are to meet at the Rubber Bowl parking lot at 6 a.m., July 17. Details may be obtained by calling Wilson on extension 4595 at Goodyear Aircraft. Next regular meeting of the Association will be July 21, at the Oak Ridge resort. Mrs. Arthur Ambler Dies In Florida Word has been received by The Clan that Mrs. Jane Ambler wife of Arthur Ambler, died in St. Petersburg, Fla., 23, due to a heart attack. The Amblers were married in St Petersburg in March, 1954. Ambler mit Goodyear was fore-man in the janitorial service. He retired from Goodyear, following thirty years' service. TEN OTHERS WITH CLEAN SLATES BUT HAD FEWER HOURS Jack Kidney Gives Interesting Report At Luncheon Attended By 144 In Supervision Working 419,565 man-hours in May without a lost-time acci-dent, the service division won the safety award for that month, according to a report by Jack Kidney, safety director, at the safety luncheon attended by 144 men in Goodyear Hall on Tues-day of last week. Kidney, in complimenting the service division, said ten other divisions also had perfect re-cords but, of course, worked fewer hours and were ineligible to win. The eleven divisions with not a lost-time accident in May were listed by Kidney as follows: Division Hours Worked Service 419,565 Plant 1 Tires ......... 320.672 Plant 2 Tires ...... 296,427 Indutitrial Products ...295.588 Tubes and Tanks ......255,521 Chemical and Development ..... .244,154 Plant C. ............ .231,654 Mobil Products ........ 124,768 Phint 1 Stock Preparaticn .. ..... 119,427 Aeronautic:il Products . . 54,947 Reclaim ............... 23,698 Kidney • announced that the engineering division 66came mighty close" to winning the safety award, but one lone lost-time accident marred the re-cord.
