Well Callie it is about 10 oclock at night we have got our tent up that is the officers tent the company has drawen these little dog tents I have not bin round any through the city not with standing This is Sunday yet we was mooving all day when we come in we wore marched through one corner of the city and stacked arms and got our diner then the colonel went with the commander of the out to look out it camp for us to camp on and we mooved at four o’clock on to that we are Just in the edge of the city on A hill over looking the town high and dry I don’t feel that there is any danger here still we are working an towords Rebeldom I guess that there is some not far from here Breckingridges forces are about 36 or 40 miles from here and we A force within six miles of him moving onn towords him well Call it is getting late all is in bed and I am tiered I will qut don’t fail to right I have not got any letter cince Bowers come give me the Best you have in the shop and take care of your self far well my dear Wm McCollam 1 Lieut. Of 161 OVI Martinsburgh via and I think they will come
