A meeting of the Council was held on the 30th May, 1927, the following being the important matters dealt with :— Death of Mr. Frank Copeman. The Chairman in referring in sympathetic terms to the death of Mr. Frank Copeman stated that Mr. Copeman with his wide business knowledge and experience had been a very valuable member of Council. Regulation of Rubber Exports. Standard Production—Malaya.—It was reported that a cable-gram had been received from the R.G.A. Local Secretary, Kuala Lumpur, giving an analysis of the Standard Production of Malaya for the current year (See p. 359). Voluntary Scheme—British North Borneo.—It was reported that advice had been received from the British North Borneo (Chartered) Co., that on the present basis of assessment North Borneo Producers who are able to satisfy the local Restriction Committee of their ability to produce more than 320 lb. per acre may be granted increased allowances in respect of the areas concerned. R.G.A. Local Committee—Malaya. The Council approved the appointment of the Hon, Mr. J . C. Henderson vice the Hon. Mr. H. E. Nixon, on leave. It was reported that Mr. W. R. C. Gray has resigned his seat on the Committee owing to his leaving for Kelantan, and that the Hon. Mr. C. Ritchie had left for home. Malayan Planters' Provident Fund. The Council approved the appointment of Mr. C. Ward-Jackson as a Trustee of the Fund to fill the vacancy caused by the resignation of Mr. C. B. Graburn who has come home on leave. Research Committee. Imperial Agricultural Research Conference.—It was decided to suggest to the Board of the Rubber Research Institute of Malaya that in the event of that body nominating a representative to attend the Imperial Research Conference, such nominee should be asked to
